Candeloro Invests Write! ✍️
Congratulations to junior Isabella Candeloro, who has written her way to number one in the state in the prestigious Maryland Council on Economic Education InvestWrite Essay Competition! 🏆
Now the sixth student in school history to earn the state InvestWrite title, Isabella participated in the contest as a student in Kurt Marx’s Principles of Business Management/Entrepreneurship course.
The InvestWrite competition challenges students to discuss the investment process and reflect upon their participation in the Stock Market Game. It is a vital follow-up component of the SIFMA Foundation Stock Market Game program, an educational initiative that teaches students the fundamentals of financial literacy via virtual stock market trading.
Isabella’s accomplishment not only speaks to her exceptional writing skills, but also her deep understanding of financial decision-making, risk management, investments, and economic trends. 💰
Isabella is the daughter of Mary (Messer) and Frank Candeloro, both alumni of Stephen Decatur High School.

👨‍💻 On October 2nd, Stephen Decatur High School will be administering the PSAT 9 to all freshmen students. The exam will start promptly at 8:00AM and run through 1st & 2nd periods.
This exam is fully digital, so students will be testing on their school issued iPads. Please make sure that they are updated and fully charged.
Students are already registered and no further action needs to be taken. If you have any questions, please reach out to Mandi Wells at MLWells@worcesterk12.org.
